Stewart Cink’s Twee Off Challenge

Below you will see the fund raising that Stewart Cink is trying to do. As the current British Open champion, he is using his celebrity to raise a ton of money for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. $1.2 million actually, which is the number of twitter followers he has. I think this is great as I myself helped out last year. Also being that he is a member at my country club (Berkeley Hills) I have to support him. Do what you can, this is a great cause!
There are 4 levels of donations:
- Play 72 – Donate $72 and enter for a chance to win airfare for two, hotel for two nights and tickets to THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola in Atlanta; as well as a chance to meet Stewart Cink at the tournament.
- Play 36 – Donate $36 and enter for a chance to win set of Nike golf clubs.
- Play 18 – Donate $18 and enter for a chance to win an autographed golf bag used by Stewart Cink during the 2010 Masters Tournament.
- Play 9 – Donate $9 and enter for a chance to win one of 12 dozen golf balls

Stewart Cink is not only a professional golfer, but also he’s a dad who realizes the importance of investing in kids’ health and wellness. And as one of the most active professional golfers on Twitter—with more than 1.2 million followers to date—he is challenging his followers and supporters to keep the community spirit of the past Atlanta Golf Classic tournament alive and help his local children’s hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, which is one of the largest clinical care providers for children in the country.
Now through Tuesday, April 27, 2010, you can Twee Off with Stewart and make a difference in the life of a child with your contribution. In the spirit of a generous $600,000 contribution to Children’s by AT&T, Stewart is seeking to double that amount by raising another $600,000, for a grand total of $1.2 million, with the help of his 1.2 million Twitter followers.
Participate in the challenge by giving at the $9, $18, $36 or $72 level, with prizes perfect for any golf enthusiast. Participants can choose to Twee Off as many times as they like – play multiple times at the different levels. Donations of $5 and above also help us reach our goal.
Stewart is pitching in as well and contributing $50,000 to help the kids at Children’s. So we’ve reached the “turn,” the halfway point to the grand total of $1.2 million. We can’t do it without your help, so join us for the back nine and give hope and health to thousands of critically ill and injured children.
The grand total donation will be announced at the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Spring Baseball Classic for Kids April 27. Check back on this site May 14, 2010, for the full list of prize winners.
Good luck and thanks for helping make this a hole-in-one for the patients of Children’s!
